When a Crystal Warrior's Heart Jewel is connected and the bonds of their friendship is strong enough, their Heart Jewels may create a new form. These forms are special power-ups that Crystal Warriors can unlock in order to defeat stronger enemies.

Overview

Form changes are typically created between units of 2-3 Crystal Warriors. Crystal Warriors can create a new unit form with any member of their team provided their bond and trust is strong enough. Form changes require deep trust between the person transforming and their team, if trust is not present, the transformation will not activate. Larger units are not impossible, however, as the full unit needs to be emotionally in sync with one another, larger units have a higher risk of failure and detransformation.

Midnight Primrose

Midnight Primrose form

Unit form created by Valerie, Liam, and Clover. Their unit theme is ballet and flowers. The design is based on Swan Lake. Valerie and Clover represent Odette and Odile respectively, with Liam taking the role of Siegfried. Their element is nature and starlight.

The form is named after the evening primrose which blooms at night. The floral theme is a manifestation of Liam's elemental abilities, and the primrose also alludes to Clover, as it's the name of her late mother. Valerie's love of dance is represented in the ballet motif.

Attacks

Midnight Blossom Aurora: The group is transported to a moonlit arena as glowing primroses bloom under their feet. They hold out their arms and a cool breeze blows past their feet as the trio are surrounded by swirling lights. A blast of colorful flowers and starts burst from their hands and purify the monster.

Tropical Phoenix

Tropical Phoenix form

Unit form created by Valerie, Alex, and Zacharie. Their unit theme is summer festivals, phoenixes, and the sun. The design is based on Caribbean festival attire and features bright colorful feathers, hibiscus flowers, and beads. Each member has a phoenix tattoo located on their body.

The phoenix theme is a manifestation of Alex's elemental abilities, and the summer sun motif is representative of Zacharie. Valerie is represented in the Carnival theme.

Attacks

Lovely Sunshine Festival: The group is transported to a bright summer paradise. The three hold hands and a warm light surrounds them as they summon a colorful shining phoenix. The bird rises to the sky before diving toward the monster. It surrounds the monster with it's wings and bursts into an explosion of crystals and confetti.

Trivia

• Tropical Phoenix was formerly called Sunset Phoenix, and was originally a unit intended for Zacharie and Val exclusively. It was later tweaked and adopted as a trio form between Alex, Val, and Zacharie instead.
• Form changes were originally themed on fantasy creatures, but this was scrapped.
  • Valerie's original form change motif was angel, Sophie's was mermaids, Clover's was unicorns, Zacharie's was phoenixes, Amber's was Kitsune, Alex's was dragons, and Liam's was fairies. Although most themes were scrapped, the phoenix motif was kept for Tropical Phoenix form, and Alex's dragon motif was ultimately incorporated into his character itself.
