The Shining Crystal of courage and protection, Amber Heart!
Amber is a fairy from Glimmer. “Energetic” doesn’t even begin to describe Amber, she rushes full speed and puts her all into everything she does. Amber can be pretty blunt, sloppy, and kind of gross, But some might say that’s part of her charm! She‘s pretty forgetful, and often nicknames people based on memorable traits.
Amber lives in Alex's apartment disguised as their family pet.
Amber is a fairy from Chalcedonia. She grew up in the same community as Diana. As a child she always deeply admired the Crystal Warriors and loved to hear the legends and stories about them. She always knew that if the time came she would be one of the first to jump into action and activate her powers.
She strongly dislikes Princess Rosalia and holds a grudge against Diana viewing her as a traitor. Despite their disdain for each other the two of them seem to be childhood friends.
As a former Royal Knight, Amber is extremely passionate about her duties as a Crystal Warrior, and is very honest and brave. She transforms into the warrior of Courage and Protection, Amber Heart. Her powers are over electricity.
Amber is cheerful, honest, brave, and hot-headed. She is very energetic and puts her all into everything she does. She's very sloppy, and her table manners are nonexistent. She is pretty forgetful and often nicknames people based on memorable traits. Amber is a pretty abrasive person as well, she's stubborn, arrogant and she can be very callous and judgemental, especially toward those who fail to meet her standards.
She believes that it's the duty of the strong to protect the weak and idealizes the Crystal Warriors viewing them as pure-hearted heroes.
Amber is extremely physically strong and resilient. She's athletic and great at a variety of sports, but she has a particular interest in baseball. She's also very studious and knowledgeable of many things from Crystal Warrior lore to human history and she's great at mathematics. She's fairly adept when it comes to Heart Jewel biology as well as she's able to interpret details of the Heart Jewels when examining them through her Prism Lenses.
As a fairy, she has innate magic skills. She can teleport, sense Nightmares, and is a skilled shape-shifter, able to maintain a stable shift with limited visible fairy traits. Outside of battle she can absorb electric charges to recover small amounts of energy and she can power devices with her hands.
She has orange eyes and tanned, orange-ish, freckled skin. She has pointed ears, with tufts of fur on the tips as well as on her cheeks and elbows. She has sharp teeth and claws. Her hair is brown with an orange tint at the ends that she frequently styles in half twin tails tied together with green ribbons. She's of slightly above average height with a bulkier, muscular build. Her human form appears a bit younger for her age due to her increased lifespan as a fairy, although Valerie notes that she doesn't entirely fit in with the rest of the students.
Her clothing style is casual quirky clothes that show off her abdomen in bright colors.
Amber is a cream-colored Lupinite fairy, based in appearance on a Cocker Spaniel. She has ring of curly, wool-like orange fur around her neck and long drop ears with wavy fur. She's average for a fairy, standing at about 10 inches in height. She has a white belly, orange tips on her paws and ears and a short orange tail. She has orange eyes and a round nose. She has straight orange bangs and wears an orange bow on her head holding her Heart Jewel, which is carried over into her Crystal Warrior form. She often wears a brown messenger bag that she carries her books and other possessions in.
Like all fairies, she can hover, teleport, shapeshift and sense Nightmares. She has the second most stable human forms in the cast with limited attributes carried from her fairy form. As a human she retains her claws, her ears are pointed with fur at the ends, and she has brown hair that fades to orange at the ends. She's described as being quite hairy and still has a lot of fur from her fairy form, with tufts on her cheeks, elbows, hips, ankles, and belly.
Amber's base Crystal Warrior form. As Amber Heart, her hair lightens to a light orange color and is styled in a large lightning bolt shaped ponytail. She wears an orange hair bow on top of her head in the same manner as her fairy form, and she has loose bolt-shaped chunks of hair falling at her shoulders. She wears a wing-shaped chest bow with her heart jewel placed neatly in the center. She wears an orange short sleeved crop top with some white in the middle and a frilly orange layered skirt. She has orange arm warmers and dark fingerless gloves, and she wears white thigh high socks with high-heeled sneakers.
Amber's base Crystal Warrior form. Her weapon is the Amber Glaive. A large orange pole arm with a lightning bolt shaped blade attached to a gold heart at the top of the pole. The blade can slide across the top and function as a scythe as well. The pole is white with jewels in each of the Crystal Warrior's colors.
Amber's fairy form was original that of an orange fox.
Her verbal tic is based on Potamos from the English dub of Wedding Peach, who tends to end her sentences with "Don'cha know?". In a Japanese translation, Amber would take the original version from her instead: "Mitai na?"
