Lotus and her sister hail from France and have come to America for their father's work. The Vermillion mansion is located outside of the city in Winnetka Illinois. They also have a bigger mansion that they grew up in located in Paris.

Biography

Lotus Vermillion is the oldest daughter of Arthur Vermillion and the only sister of Clover. Lotus is kind, charismatic, sociable, and generous. She loves new experiences and is quite competitive and ambitious. Before the start of the series she was a professional high-fashion model known for her unique style and outspoken but friendly attitude along with positioning herself as a role-model. Growing up she taught herself a variety of skills, such as cooking in order to have an upper hand against the other wealthy girls she was in pageants against, and hair-styling as she was one of the few black models and would often have trouble finding stylists who were confident with her hair texture. Lotus has a fondness for vintage aesthetics and retro anime, she's particularly fond of cute anthropomorphic animal characters and is a massive fan of Sherlock Hound.

Personality

Lotus is kind, friendly, and exceedingly generous. She's extremely ambitious and adventurous, and can't be satisfied sitting around being waited on. She loves to show off a little bit as well, but she's not particularly elitist, she enjoys playing and socializing with others regardless. She doesn't look down on others for their social standing but she's quite out of touch with reality and doesn't understand the experiences of common folk, not understanding that there are different standards for poorer folks than there are for wealthy classes.

Style and Appearance

Lotus is tall and thin, with smooth dark skin and dark hair styled in a wavy 1920s/1930s-esque bob. She has heavy lidded pink eyes and a beauty mark under her lips. She dresses in elegant and formal vintage attire and prefers soft, cool toned colors. She likes to wear additional extravagant accessories like stoles and jewels. She always wears high quality, beautiful shoes as a beautiful pair of shoes will lead her to incredible places.
