Nightmare Crystals

A special tool used by the Nightmare Agency to create monsters. Druzy invented the Nightmare Crystal in order to collect enough magical energy to break the former Crystal Warriors seal and awaken the Princess of Darkness. These dark crystals attach themselves to the victim's Heart Jewel and absorb the energy generated by their rampage until they die. There are many types of Nightmare Crystal used for creating different classes of monsters.

Types of NM Crystals

Transformation Crystals

These basic crystals are the primary devices used to create monsters. The Nightmare Crystal attaches itself to the victim's Heart Jewel and forces them into a trance-like state. The victim's anger and hatred is concentrated into the crystal and builds up into energy that can then be converted into magic.

Shadow Shards

Shards of Nightmare Crystal that contain a small amount of pre-packaged energy that can be used to create a synthetic grunt soldier for battle assistance. Shadow Grunts need high magic ability to properly create and are given only to high ranked generals.
