Ethan is one of Valerie's closest friends. He is a former member of the now defunct Anime club, and now he spends his time helping out his neighbor Sophie with her student council responsibilities.

Ethan lives in the apartment above Sophie and the two of them live fairly close to the school compared to Valerie.

Biography

Ethan is one of Valerie's best friends, and the childhood friend of Sophie. Him and Sophie have been good friends since they were young children, and because they both have very busy and absent parents, they've grown up caring for each other to make up for it. While he's competent enough at cooking to get by, Sophie often cooks for him instead.

Personality

Ethan is laid-back, friendly, and can be a bit snarky at times, but he is an extremely loyal and supportive friend. He's a little bit impulsive and can be sensitive and dramatic at times, but he's otherwise got an extremely good head on his shoulders and will often be the voice of reason for the team, especially toward Sophie and Valerie. He's got a great sense of humor and is very observant and perceptive.

He cares deeply about his friends and is an extremely loyal and good-hearted person who wants to help in any way he can. He's deeply insecure about himself. He knows he isn't particularly "cool" and while he tries not to let it get to him, but being the only non-magic one in the group on top of being surrounded by otherwise incredible people really weighs on him.

Civilian Skills

Ethan's got really great hearing. He can sing surprisingly well on top of being a great artist. If circumstances were different, he might be the most capable leader after Valerie because he's very observant as well. While not as good at it as he is at drawing, he's fairly capable at sewing as well and has made his own costumes before.

Style and Appearance

Ethan has red eyes and wavy chin length brown hair. He wears square glasses with thick red frames. He has light brown skin with tons of freckles. He's average height for a guy and slightly overweight. Val describes him as having a crooked smile.

His fashion sense is casual and comfortable. He doesn't particularly care for looking cool and fashionable and tends to just buy graphic tees with characters and mascots that he likes. He wears a lot of hoodies and jeans. His hair tends to get in his face a lot and he'll typically tie it back and use hair pins while drawing.
